I'm trying to start some new things on my blog so bare with me.  I've been reading Brooke's blog and I love it so I'm going to try a few things she does.

I'm thankful ......

that I have a house to keep me out of this crappy windy weather.

that my two year old still takes long naps.

for the wii, it has been really fun.

for grandparents, so me and Derek can get away sometimes.

for crockpots on days that I'm busy.

for caller I.D. I don't know what I ever did without it.  Think back in the day when you just blindly picked up your phone and had to talk to whoever it was on the other end.

Well that was my first attempt at thankful thursdays.  Tell me what you think.

potty training

Hey does anyone have any good ideas on potty training.  I just don't have the patience anymore.  After 2 kids you just wish that the third kid would just catch on.  They copy all of the not so good things I say and do.  I can never seem to make it to the bathroom by myself, so I know they know how to do it.  So why can't they pick up on how to go to the potty instead of all the not so great things I do.  Kids you got to love them.

New underwear drawer

Isaac has finally decided that maybe he should start going on the potty.  So we went out and let him pick some big boy underwear.  He decided that handy manny looked good.  That night he wanted to wear them to bed, so we had a big fight about it.  In the end I put his diaper on then put his underwear over the top of his diaper.  We both ended up happy.  I got up to put his other underwear away, but of course he wanted to do it himself.  I told him to go put his underwear in the drawer. Later I went into the kitchen to my surprise I found his underwear in a drawer in the kitchen.  I guess I should have been more specific on which drawer.  At least they were clean.

Tanner's favorite pics

I came across these pictures and they reminded me of Tanner.  These were his favorite pictures of my kids.  He actually is the one who took the pics.  One day we were at my mom's and we heard some noises in the kitchen, Tanner about died laughing that Isaac was just helping himself to the contents of the fridge.  I didn't find it quite as funny, because this wasn't the first time he had gotten into the fridge.  Most of the time there is a huge mess to clean up.  It's hard to keep him out of the fridge and cupboards he may be small but he has a huge appetite.  The picture of Carson was also taken at my mom's to, we were all getting ready to eat, but Carson wasn't no where to be found.  Next thing we know Tanner's pretty much rolling on the ground laughing, because Carson has mad himself comfy on the toilet.  He was really going to the bathroom, and reading a book.  I can't imagine having that cold water on your but.

Elk

We took the kids to see some elk.  They thought it was so cool.  It turned out to be a very nice day. The sun was out and it wasn't snowing.  This place is really cool, you get to ride on a big trailer pulled by two clydesdale horses.  There is this big field where all the elk are laying around or eating.  Most of them don't even mind you're there.  The pic of the mountain I thought was pretty so I had to add it.  This was my favorite pic of the elk, he's got snow all over his antlers.  Don't mind the pic of Isaac's dirty face, he still hasn't learned to eat chocolate without getting it all over.  But he's still pretty cute.

Reindeer

These pics are a little blurry but I thought they were pretty cute.  My three little reindeer christmas eve.

Christmas

I know it's almost a month after christmas, and I'm just getting around to writing. I'm just glad I finally found time to do it.  We had a pretty good christmas, it was hard without Tanner but we made it through it.  The kids were so excited they could barely stand it.  This is the first year Carson really knew what was going on, let me tell you it was a long month before christmas.  He was asking about it everyday. They got spoiled like usual(it helps when you have alot of grandparents).  Derek had to leave for work about 6:30 a.m.  So we had to wake the kids up at 5:30, it was a really long day.  After all the excitement was over they all became very whiny.  Christmas is so much fun with little kids, it's going to be sad to see them grow out of the excitement about christmas.
